Profile

Alessandro Guidi was born in Trieste in 1965, Guidi grew up in Pallacanestro Trieste, where he was assistant coach of a legend as Boscia Tanjevic. In his 12 years in Trieste, where the red and white club crashed into A2 and then in B1, before going back to the top, Alessandro had a great chance at the end of the 1989-90 season to be part of a specialization camp in the United States, at Syracuse University. In 1994 Guidi moved to Conegliano, where he took the team from Serie D till the play-offs for go to the Serie B, reaching the national youth finals twice. In 1998. With the arrival of Boscia Tanjevic as coach of the National Team, arrived also the first collaboration with the Federation's National Team . The following summer Guidi accepts the offer of the Bears Mestre to dispute the B1 league, then he went down to Perugia, in C1, where he reaches the playoffs. In the summer of 2001, Guidi joined Renato Pasquali on the staff of the U16 National Team, which took part in the European Championship in Bulgaria. Alessandro then been in Foligno and Assisi, always in C1. In 2007, Guidi returned to the National Teams programs as assistant of Gaetano Gebbia, on the staff of the U15 National Team. In the following season he coached Ruvo di Puglia (B League), taking the club to the semifinal playoffs against Ostuni. After experience in Ravenna he went in Rovereto, where he is been the author of a sensational salvation caught between a thousand difficulties. From 2012 to 2014 Alessandro is been the head coach of Turin in Serie B. In the last years he worked as scout for the multi-champions of Italy of Mens Sana Siena and he came back to work with italian National Team programs and Boscia Tanjevic.
